Future Dawning: Exploring Karma and Our Century
An 8-Part Drama-Study Series

presented ONLINE this Fall and Winter, 2021:

September 4 & 25, October 9 & 23, November 6 & 20, December 4 & 11
(10:00 am to 12:45 pm EST)
BONUS DAY:  December 18 from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm EST

Future Dawning, a Spiritual Fantasia on World Themes, by Glen Williamson

Join us in an explorative journey into this new mystery drama, a 21st-century drama written (mostly) in the style of 19th-century romantic poetry, as we look to the (outer) play, reading it together, but also dive (inwardly) into our own connections and relationality with others - the possible karmic associations with individuals in our own biography and with the current times we chose to live in.  Psychological aspects of the characters and their interactions will also be highlighted.

In each session we will read and discuss one of the acts in the play, plus introductory materials (approximately 60 to 70 minutes). Vincent Roppolo will facilitate, Dr. James A. Dyson (AAP core faculty member) will give some orientation, Susan Overhauser PhD will explore the psychological aspects of the play, and the playwright himself (Glen Williamson) will participate in the conversation.

Participants will need to have a copy of the play Future Dawning by Glen Williamson in order to participate fully in the seminars; we will read each act together in small groups.  Copies can be purchased at SteinerBooks or Amazon.

Reading and study of Future Dawning can also serve as an introduction to the style, themes and characters of the four mystery dramas written by Rudolf Steiner between 1910 and 1913.

This series will be recorded for those who wish to participate but cannot always do so “live.”
